About Max
Max has worked hard over the years to develop a fantastic reputation for producing young horses up to Grand Prix Level. He has a huge portfolio of horses that he has sold, which have then always gone on really well with their next owners. Outside of the selling Max has had some fantastic results as a rider as well, Winning numerous Grand Prix’s and representing GB on Nation’s Cups up to 5* level.
Looking into the future Max has some firm goals that include Championships, Super Leagues and Global Champion Tours and is hoping to be at a point where he can develop his horsepower to support this with the help of owners.
Max’s past is an equally impressive and interesting journey. Professional Polo was his first serious sporting career. After discovering his talent for the sport, he left school at a young age and was working very well-paid jobs with top High Goal Teams from the age of 17. He travelled to Australia and Argentina and cemented his place as a valuable player to various high goal teams for many years.
Max won the Queens Cup final with Ellerston in 2008. He has also played in the Gold Cup final twice with Ellerston again in 2008 and then with Lechuza Caracas in 2010.
Max also played in Sotogrande in 2009, 2013 & 2014.
Not only did Max play for High Goal Teams he also represented Great Britain on several occasions including the World Cup Snow Polo in China which he won on two separate occasions.
During his polo career Max was also Show Jumping but that always had to be his second priority while he was working for big teams. Max met some incredible people in the polo and really enjoyed it, but he finally decided to give up and pursue his real passion which was the Show Jumping in 2014.
